Habitat For Humanity

During the Fall Break or "Reading Days" as they are know here at Washington and Lee, the Generals Soccer Team volunteered their time for the Rockbridge County Habitat for Humanity. With a variety of task to accomplish the team was organized into three different groups. Robert Wiseman "The Chosen One" was able to select an elite group to tackle the locksmith duties. After 4 hours of tinkering and figuring out the difference between a flat and phillips head screw driver, they were able to install door knobs and deadbolts to the front and rear doors. The other two groups were divided to take on the grueling task of installing fiberglass insulation. Bastian Richter was team leader for the main floor installation but spent most his time playing with the foreman's dog Ginger. Connor Pierce led the Hobbit Crew to place insulation overhead in the crawlspace. Some areas were only 3 feet high but Parker Wolfinger and Pierce were able to do the job standing up.
The entire team did a great job and we were able to finish insulating the entire crawlspace and the majority of the main living space. The team was rewarded with itchy skin and a meal at Originals Resuturant in Buena Vista.
Robert Wiseman (Pictured above) took home the award for Best Dressed with his carpenter jean short, tube socks, Underdog tee, and his paint covered little league baseball hat. Congrats!
